IPARN FOUNDATION, India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 12th April 2021, with the Migration Institute of Finland, Finland. Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Dixit, Chairman of the IPARN FOUNDATION, India and Assoc. Professor Dr. Saara Pellander, Director, Migration Institute of Finland, Finland signed the agreement. Dr. Saurabh Chandra, Managing Director (MD) of the IPARN FOUNDATION, India will be in charge of monitoring the implementation of the agreement on behalf of the IPARN FOUNDATION, while Assoc. Professor Dr. Saara Pellander, Director, Migration Institute of Finland, Finland will be in-charge of monitoring the implementation of the agreement on behalf of the Migration Institute of Finland, Finland. Research Director of the Migration Institute of Finland, Finland, Assoc. Professor Prof. Dr. Elli Heikkilä will be the coordinator on behalf of the Migration Institute of Finland, Finland.
The collaboration between the two organizations may be one of the following kinds:
a) exchange of Directors/ office holders, faculty members, researchers and PhD students for academic purposes in form of scientific and lecturing visits;
b) organization/ collaboration in research projects, training programmes, fellowships, workshops and conferences;
c) collaboration in research projects, workshops and conferences;
d) membership of a Study Committee of Researchers to study the migration issues in developing countries of Asia and for example transnational migration between Finland and Asia, with funds to be obtained from National/International funding bodies.

The agreement will go a long way in fostering the cooperation between the two organizations, and provide opportunities to both organizations to learn from the experience of each other. It will be a landmark step forward in IPARN’s journey towards becoming a major international player.
